Burnley's Vincent Kompany is reportedly set to complete a move to the German side, Bayern Munich as the new head coach ahead of the 2024/2025 club football season.

According to the Guardian UK, Bayern Munich are a few steps away from solving their initial concerns about the role of the head coach ahead of the 2024/2025 season after it was confirmed that Thomas Tuchel would leave at the end of the season.

Following the confirmation of the departure of Tuchel, Bayern was faced with the uphill task of finding a replacement for the German with many coaches not showing interest in the position, but at the end of the season, it was confirmed that Vincent Kompany of Burnley was the club's current target to fill the open position.

Despite his involvement in Burnley's relegation from the Premier League, the Belgian emerged as a surprising contender. Advanced discussions are underway, and it is reported that Burnley's owner, Alan Pace, engaged in talks with Bayern officials regarding compensation on Wednesday. The expectation is for the deal to be finalized by the end of the week.

Kompany, who started his coaching career at Anderlecht, gained a strong reputation when he joined Burnley two years ago. The former Manchester City defender made a big impact in the Championship, receiving excellent feedback for transforming a defensive team into an exciting attacking side and leading Burnley back into the Premier League in their first attempt.

There was optimism that Burnley could thrive in the top flight by maintaining their progressive style of play. With a side like Bayern however, the possibilities are limitless because of the quality the squad possesses on the field of play.
