Viktor Gyökeres reacts to his brace against Atlético Madrid

Arsenal’s forward Viktor Gyökeres has expressed his satisfaction and joy after the brace he scored against Atlético Madrid in the UEFA Champions League.

The Premier League leaders were impressive from start to finish against Atlético Madrid, who failed to give their travelling supporters anything to cheer about throughout the game. Mikel Arteta saw his Arsenal team put on a masterclass performance in the second half as they scored four goals in 13 minutes to further increase the chances of reaching the second round of the competition.

Gyökeres thanked the supporters and his teammates for the support they showed him.

He said,

"The support from my teammates means a lot, they're amazing. I think the group we have and the spirit are something different and something very special. I am more hungry now."

Arsenal continue their unbeaten run in the group phase of the UEFA Champions League under Mikel Arteta. The Spaniard has led his team to nine wins out of nine games with 26 goals scored and none conceded.

Arsenal fans will hope they continue this form into the remaining games of the competition and most likely get to win it for the first time in the club’s history.
