Is Victor Osimhen joining Arsenal? Here is what we know

Following days of speculation, here is the latest update on Victor Osimhen's rumoured transfer to the Premier League side Arsenal.

As the summer 2026 transfer window gradually draws to a close, reports of Victor Osimhen considering a possible transfer to the 2025/2026 Premier League champions, Arsenal for the 2026/2027 club football season from his current side, Galatasaray.

Despite the transfer speculation, Osimhen has started the new Süper Lig campaign with Galatasaray. He scored twice against Çorum FK, including a stoppage-time equaliser that rescued a point for his side.

Following the match, Osimhen played down the transfer talk, acknowledging that rumours are common during the transfer window while insisting that his focus remains on his responsibilities at Galatasaray.

Aside from Osimhen himself, Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek has also reportedly made it clear that Victor Osimhen will not be sold this summer, despite growing interest from Arsenal.

According to Turkish-Football.com, Özbek has told colleagues that the Nigerian striker is not available for transfer under any circumstances. The stance comes as Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta continues to explore options to strengthen his attack ahead of the new season.

Osimhen has reportedly attracted strong interest after an impressive campaign with Galatasaray, helping the Turkish champions secure the domestic title last season. The 27-year-old forward finished the campaign with 22 goals in all competitions.

Galatasaray have already demonstrated their determination to keep the striker, having rejected a £111 million offer from Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal earlier in the transfer window.
