Victor Boniface shares an emotional moment of his Champions League experience

Super Eagles' forward player, Victor Boniface, made his UEFA Champions League debut for Bayer Leverkusen against Feyenoord.

Victor Boniface has been in fantastic form for the Bundesliga Champions since the beginning of this season, the same form which he continued in the Champions League. The forward player expressed his delight and what it meant to him playing in the most lucrative club competition in the world.

He posted on his official X account after the game on Thursday, September 19, 2024, about his childhood in Akure, Nigeria, where he paid just 30 naira to watch Champions League games at the 323 Army Barracks.

He posted,

“From paying 30 Naira to watch champions league football for night back then for 323 army barrack, Akure to playing my first champions league game. Proud of this moment."

Bayer Leverkusen won the game 4-0 at the Stadion Feyenoord, Rotterdam, which puts them among the few clubs that won their opening game of the competition.
