#USOpen: Watch Serena Williams' Response After Reaching the Third Round

The quest for Serena Williams to win her 24th Grand Slam title continued in fine style at the ongoing US Open.

Serena who will be celebrating her 41st birthday later in September, against all odds defeated the number two women's seed, Anett Kontaveit 7-6(4), 2-6, 6-2 to book her spot in th third round. She will face Ajla Tomljanovic.

The American said after the game that she is not surprised at her level of progress at the Flushing Meadows. However, she admitted that she was scared after losing the second round to Kontaveit.

The former World Number One also became the first 40-year-old to beat any tennis player ranked in the top three seeds. She will play her next game on Friday where she hopes a fourth-round ticket will be hers at the end of the match.
