Erik Ten Hag reveals his conversation with Manchester United's board
The future of Erik Ten Hag at Manchester United has been a topic of conversation in the past few weeks due to the poor results experienced by the club since the beginning of this season.
The Dutchman was speaking to Sky Sports News in a pre-match ahead of the Europa League game against FC Porto. According to Erik Ten Hag, he is not under any sort of pressure if the next two games against Porto and Villa do not go his way.
" I am not thinking about it. I'm not anxious as well, and we are in here together, we made [plans] in the summer, togetherness, the ownership, the leadership, this agreement, and we are all behind it. We knew, also, what the strategy was with young players in the transition period and we know then also in which process they can come, this can happen but they also know in the end when we are in May, all my last six seasons, there were trophies and that is why we are also now aiming for."
However, Erik Ten Hag will hope that his team gets maximum points against Porto so that they don't drop out of the position that will guarantee a playoff. If United also fail to win the game against Aston Villa this result will see them placed on the second side of the league table.
There are reports that United supporters could turn on Ten Hag if both results do not go their way as they could call for his sack before the end of the next international break.
