UK Government Reportedly Gives Access to Sell Chelsea FC

The United Kingdom government have reportedly given a hint that the sale of Chelsea Football Club will be allowed to go on as expected before the sanctions.

The Athletic confirmed the news on its website on Friday, March 11th, 2022. According to reports from the website, Roman Abramovich has given the green light that the club should be sold.

The UK government and Raine, the banking handling the sale of Chelsea have both met so the sale of the club can proceed. It was also confirmed that the deal could be finalised between the next four or six weeks.

Chelsea was recently hit with a sanction by the UK government following their decision to freeze Roman Abramovich's assets in the UK which is the football club.
