UEFA releases its latest club ranking ahead of the 2024/25 season

As we anticipate the start of club competitions in Europe, UEFA has released the latest rankings of all the teams ahead of the 2024/25 football season.

The purpose of this yearly ranking is to help UEFA place these teams nto different pots when the draw for the group stages of all the European club competitions takes place in August 2015. This was released on the official website of the body on Friday, July 12, 2024.

The winners of the various leagues, the winners of the Champions League, and the winner of the Europa League will all be placed in Pot 1, while the remaining pots will be filled by the other clubs that have already qualified for the competition, based on their ranking.

UEFA determines the ranking based on the club's performance in Europe in the last five years.

The top clubs in UEFA's latest ranking are:

  1. Manchester City (England)
  2. Real Madrid (Spain)
  3. Bayern Munich (Germany)
  4. Liverpool (England)
  5. Roma (Italy)
  6. Paris Saint-Germain (France)
  7. Villareal (Spain)
  8. Borussia Dortmund (Germany)
  9. Chelsea (England)
  10. Inter Milan (Italy)

Additionally, Manchester United and Arsenal occupy the 14th and 19th positions respectively, while Atletico Madrid and Barcelona are in the 17th and 18th place, respectively.
