Club football governing body UEFA has named and confirmed the player and also the young player of the 2021/2022 season.
Karim Benzema who had been integral in Real Madrid's champions league victory was crowned the Player of the 2021/2022 season.
Benzema had scored a personal record of 15 goals in the 2021/2022 champions league season for Real Madrid earning him the highest goalscorer in the competition.
Vinicius Jr. who was crowned the UEFA young player of the season scored the winning goal in the champions league final match between Real Madrid and Liverpool. He also recorded 4 goals and 6 assists in the competition as well.
