UCL: We were better than PSG - Mikel Arteta

Arsenal's manager, Mikel Arteta has tagged his team as the better after his club got knocked out in the semi-final clash against Paris Saint Germain ( PSG).

Mikel Arteta expressed his displeasure about the way his team got knocked out of the UEFA Champions League. According to the Spaniard, the better team was Arsenal especially for the most part of the game and this was confirmed by the PSG bench..

He said,

The best team lost, in my view, especially after 160 minutes. I am saying that and they [PSG bench] are saying that because they just told me”.

Arsenal were knocked out from the competition after they lost 3-1 on both legs. The first leg ended 1-0 while the second ended 2-1 both in favour of PSG.

However, Arsenal can take solace in the fact that nobody gave them a chance to get this far in the competition at the start of the season. The fans will remember this season as the one which they knocked out Real Madrid in the quarter finals and which could also serve as a major highlight for the supporters.

This result means the Gunners will end this season without a major trophy after they lost the league to Liverpool.
