Liverpool Football Club have received a huge boost with the return of Trent Alexander-Arnold ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash against Real Madrid at Anfield Stadium.

The England international has been sidelined since his injury against Aston Villa, is now in contention to feature in Liverpool’s Champions League clash against the defending champions.

Liverpool faces Real Madrid on Wednesday, followed by a Premier League clash with Manchester City. However, it’s uncertain if Alexander-Arnold will start in both games for the Reds.

Liverpool hasn’t beaten Real Madrid since 2009, a frustrating record they hope to break this week. However, Madrid’s key players which include, Vinícius Jr. and Tchouaméni, might offer Liverpool their best chance in years.

The Red are currently the only team in the Champions League with a perfect record after playing four games, they are also top of the Premier League table behind Manchester City.
