Trent Alexander-Arnold speaks out on his future as transfer talks heat up
Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold has released a statement for the first time on his future amidst transfer rumours and updates.
It seems as though the Liverpool and Trent Alexander-Arnold romance has officially come to an end as the England international took to his social media platform today, Monday, May 5, 2025, to reveal his departure from the club at the end of the 2024/2025 season.
Trent Arnold revealed that this was a difficult decision for him to make. His statement read, "This is easily the hardest decision I’ve ever made in my life. I know many of you have wondered why or been frustrated that I haven’t spoken about this yet, but it was always my intention to keep my full focus on the team’s best interests, which was securing No.20."

According to Fabrizio Romano in his latest transfer news, Trent Alexander-Arnold has now reached an agreement with Real Madrid, which would see him complete a move to the Spanish La Liga giants at the end of the 2024/2025 season.
With his contract at Liverpool coming to an end in June 2025, there is no need for the Premier League champions to interfere with this move, as Trent Alexander-Arnold will be completing this move as a free agent.
