Tottenham set to beat Man United and complete the signing of Timo Werner

Reports indicate that German international and former Chelsea player, Timo Werner is poised to complete a move to the London rivals in the January 2024 transfer window.

Timo Werner who was reportedly linked with a move to Manchester United early this week has been confirmed to have reached an agreement that will see him move to Tottenham Hotspur instead in January 2024.

According to popular sports journalist Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou has also shown interest and given his approval to the club to finalize the move which has been revealed to be a six-month deal that will see him leave the Bundesliga side RB Leipzig for the rest of the season.

Sky Sports also revealed, "Spurs, who are not commenting on the story, are likely to cover the 27-year-old's full salary until the end of the current campaign. Ange Postecoglou's side will be without club captain Heung-Min Son for at least a month due to his participation in the Asia Cup and there are fears Alejo Veliz has suffered a long-term knee injury."
