Nigeria's hurdles sensation, Oluwatobi Amusan won her third consecutive Diamond League title after she won the race with a time of 12.33 seconds.

Tobi Amusan won the race in Eugiene Oregon, US on Sunday, September 17, 2023. She won her first title clocking 12.42 seconds in 2021, thereafter she clinched her second title in 12.29 seconds in Zurich last year (2022).

The venue in Oregon has been favourable for the 24-year-old as this is the same venue where she won the world title last year and also set a new world record. She finished ahead of Puerto Rico’s Jasmine Camacho-Quin in 12.38 seconds while USA's Kendra Harrison came third in the race.

This victory came months after the Nigerian was suspended for doping violations by the Athletics Integrity Unity (AIU) for missing three tests in 12 months. However, she was cleared of any violations, just three days before the 2023 World Athletics Championships.

Amusan is the second woman in Diamond League history after Dawn Nelson-Harper won the 100-meter league trophy three times.
