Timo Werner is reportedly set for a return to the Premier League

Former Chelsea player, Timo Werner could be on his way back to the Premier League just two seasons after he left England.

The German international spent two seasons at Chelsea but failed to live up to the expectations of the club supporters. This poor form saw him return to RB Leipzig during the 2022/23 summer transfer window but his form did not improve despite the change of environment.

Sky Sports Germany confirmed that he's unhappy with his situation back in Germany Werner's contract with Leipzig runs until 2026. However, Talksports confirmed that Manchester United are looking at the possibility of bringing the forward player to Old Trafford when the January transfer window opens.

Werner was part of the Chelsea team that won the UEFA Champions League during the 2020/21 season. He scored 23 goals in 89 games during his time at the Stamford Bridge club.
