Tuchel was speaking after the game at Selhurst Park on Saturday, February 19th, 2022. Chelsea won the game 1-0 courtesy of a late minute goal from Hakim Ziyech but Lukaku was the focus of attention.

The Belgian had just seven touches of the ball in the over 90 minutes of football he played against Crystal Palace. The touches are the fewest that any player who played 90 minutes has ever had since the record of most touches was been recorded since the 2003/04 season.

Tuchel said it was not about the change of structure because it was the same attacking structure for Lukaku. The Blues reverted to a 4-1-4-1 formation because of the lack of right wing-back in the team.

No, no, it is not about our system. Well, it is what it is. But for him, there is no change of system because it is the same attacking structure.

Lukaku has struggled in front of goal since his interview with Sky Sports was released where he showed affection for Inter Milan more than Chelsea.
