Following a fresh knee injury in training reports indicate that Thibaut Courtois could possibly miss the rest of the season for Real Madrid.

Things are currently not looking good for Real Madrid's first-choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois as the Belgian who recently recovered from tearing his ACL picked up another injury in training. Fears have been raised that Thibaut Courtois's latest injury could see him miss the rest of the season for Real Madrid.

According to a report by Marca on Tuesday afternoon, Thibaut Courtois, the goalkeeper for Real Madrid, left the training grounds in tears following an injury. Later tests confirmed that he had suffered a torn meniscus in his right knee. This new injury looks to rule him out for the remainder of the season, which is a big blow for the team.

Courtois had already missed the entire campaign due to tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee back in August 2023. Although he avoided a repeat of the same problem, surgery is still likely to repair the meniscus damage. It is unclear how long he will be out for, but it is certain that his absence will be felt by the team, especially in such a crucial stage of the season.

This was also confirmed by Real Madrid in a statement that read, "After the tests carried out today on our player Thibaut Courtois, he has been diagnosed with a torn internal meniscus in his right knee. The injury occurred during today's training session. Evolution pending."
