Super Falcons book qualification for AWCON 2024

Nine-time Africa Champions, the Super Falcons of Nigeria will be looking to win the Africa Women's Cup of Nations for the tenth time.

The Super Falcons of Nigeria have booked their qualification for the Women's Africa Cup of Nations which will be hosted in Morocco. The Nigerian side booked qualification for the tournament following a victory against Cape Verde in the first half of their reverse encounter at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, in Abuja last Thursday, November 30, 2023.

Rasheedat Ajibade and Esther Okoronkwo were on the scoresheet for Nigeria’s Super Falcons as they won the game 2-1 against Cape Verde at the Estadio Nacional De Cabo Verde on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.

The Super Falcons thrashed guy Cape Verde 5-0 last week in Abuja to ensure the second leg was a mere formality. The 2-1 win in Cape Verde just stamped Nigeria’s spot in Morocco next year (2024).
