The newly appointed head coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Jose Peseiro has sent a message to Nigerians.

The Portuguese sent his message via his official Twitter account on Wednesday, May 25th, 2022. According to him, he is excited to be appointed as coach of the Super Eagles, he promised to work hard so that Nigeria can win her fourth African Cup of Nations.

Pride! It is with great pride and joy that I am the coach of one of the greatest football nations in the world. Commanding the Super Eagles starts with knowing how to respect history, value it and be inspired by its roots. Over 200 million Nigerians, from all states and ethnicities, want the same thing: success.
We will work great ambition, so that in the end we can finally call Nigeria the four-time African champions.

Peseiro was appointed following the termination of the coaching crew kf the Super Eagles which was led by Augustine Eguavoen and Emmanuel Amunike after the team failed to book her qualifying ticket for the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.
