Son Heung-Min takes huge decision on his future at Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur have announced the contract extension of its captain, Son Heung-Min, until the summer of 2026 which is the end of the 2025/26 season.

The club confirmed the news on its official website on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Tottenham decided to trigger the contract extension following his dedication and impressive performance to the club since the beginning of this season.

The South Korean joined the London club from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015 for £22m and has made 431 appearances for Spurs, putting him 11th on the club’s all-time list. He has scored 169 goals. Only Harry Kane, Jimmy Greaves, Bobby Smith, and Martin Chivers have more for the club.

Son was appointed as the club captain in the summer of 2023, and has become one of the clubs favourite among the supporters.
