Senegal Players Get $87,000 Cash Prize by President Macky Sall | Watch

The President of Senegal, Macky Sall has rewarded the players and officials of the Terenga Lions prize money of around $87,000 for their triumph at the Africa Cup of Nations.

The announcement was made during the trophy presentation by the players to the President and members of the Senegalese cabinet on Tuesday, February 8th, 2022. The President also promised them a plot of land each in the nation's capital in Dakar.

Senegal beat Egypt at the final of the AFCON on Sunday, February 6th, 2022. The game was dominated by the West Africans throughout the 120 minutes of play but failed to find the back of the net.

Senegal won the game 4-2 on penalties with Liverpool's Sadio Mane scoring the winner penalty.
