Samuel Umtiti Extends Contract with Barcelona

Samuel Umtiti has extended his contract at Barcelona until the summer of 2026.

Barcelona confirmed the news on its website on Monday, January 10th, 2022. According to reports from the Catalonia club, the French defender has decided to take a pay cut following the current financial crisis at the club.

This contract extension means Barcelona can now register Ferran Torres as its player. The Spaniard signed from Manchester City for £55million in December 2021.

The club thanked the player for his decision to take a pay cut and considering the current financial crisis at the club.
