The head coach of Egypt, Carlos Queiroz, has released the final 25-man list for the African Cup of Nations ( AFCON ) that will be hosted in Cameroon.

Premier League players headlined the list for the Egyptian National team, which includes Mohamed Salah, Mohamed Elneny, and Aston Villa's Mohamoud Trezeguet. Saudi Arabia's Ahmed Hegazi also made the final cut.

Egypt will make their 25th appearance at the competition and will hope they can win the tournament for a record eighth time. The Pharaohs first game is against Nigeria on Tuesday, January 11th, 2022. The competition kick starts on January 9th, 2022 until February 6th, 2022.
