Ruben Amorim gives update on his goalkeeper choice against Lyon

There have been questions by Manchester United supporters if Ruben Amorim will start Andre Onana in the game against Lyon.
Andre Onana was dropped for the first time in the Premier League by Ruben Amorim for the game against Newcastle United. However, the Portuguese did not state a clear reason why he dropped Onana in the game against the Magpies.

Ruben Amorim dropped Onana against Newcastle United after his disappointing performance in the Europa League agaiinst Lyon. He said sometimes it is players get to disconnect from the team and take time apart from the squad.
"Sometimes, you have to push the player to play again; sometimes, you have to let him disconnect a little bit. Tomorrow, André will be in training to prepare for the next one, so I felt that it was a good time for André to disconnect."
He was asked after the defeat against Newcastle if Onana will start against Lyon in the the second leg of the Europa League.
"Onana vs Lyon? You guys have to wait, I’m going to choose the best starting XI for the next one."
Manchester United supporters will hope that whatever team that Amorim starts against Lyon will be good enough to qualify to the semi-finals.
