In a deal that is estimated to be worth over 90 million in wages for a player per year, Cristiano Ronaldo completed his move to Al-Nassr, and the Ronaldo effect is taking center stage as it has always done as the follower count for Al-Nassr on Instagram skyrocketed after the club confirmed his signing.
Al-Nassr had been on 860 thousand followers before the announcement, but the club currently has 5.5 million followers on the platform. Aside from that, his official announcement post has surpassed 30 million likes with over 1.2 million comments as well.
Al-Nassr seems to be having a taste of the CR7 effect, but with the chants at the stadium during their last home game, many are anticipating him gracing the pitch to play his first game as well.
