Romelu Lukaku leaves Chelsea on a season-long deal
Chelsea's forward player, Romelu Lukaku, has left the club on a season-long loan deal to Serie A side, AS Roma.
The Blues confirmed the exit of the Belgian international on their official website. According to reports, Roma paid £8 million for the player, and they are also expected to take care of his salary during the period of his loan deal.
Romelu Lukaku is the second player to move to AS Roma since Tammy Abraham joined the Serie A side during the 2021 summer transfer window. This will be the third time Jose Mourinho will manage Lukaku, the duo were together at Chelsea and Manchester United.
Recall that Lukaku fell out with everyone at Chelsea following his interview with Sky Sports during the first season of his second return. This led him to leave the Blues on loan to Inter Milan, but he also fell out with the Serie A club because he was speaking with Juventus while Inter were trying to seal a deal with Chelsea to buy him permanently.
