Robert Lewandowski shares his thought on the future at Barcelona

Robert Lewandowski has addressed growing speculation surrounding his future at FC Barcelona, offering a calm and measured response amid ongoing transfer rumours.

The contract of the Polish which is set to run until June 2026 has made it clear that there is no urgency on his part to make a decision, stressing that his main focus remains on performing for the club in the present. The forward admitted that he is still uncertain about where he will play beyond his current deal, explaining that such decisions depend on many factors.

Lewandowski highlighted the importance of Barcelona’s sporting project, his role within the team. He feels physically as key elements that will shape his next move instead of being distracted by speculation, he insists his priority is staying fit, avoiding injuries.

What did Lewandowski say about his future at Barcelona?

"There are some things that I don't want to speak about. I respect FC Barcelona, and everyone who works there. I was aware of the club situation. Many things had to be resolved for the good of the club. In summary, it was a bonus. At that moment, Barça were looking at every single euro. It was not a small thing. For me it didn't change anything, I had no problems with it, but I kept wondering if I should score or not."

The former Bayern Munich player also downplayed reports linking him with a move away from Europe, including interest from the Saudi Pro League and MLS. He confirmed that no concrete discussions have taken place regarding a transfer and that talks with the club about his long-term future will happen at the right time. For now, he remains fully committed to Barcelona’s ambitions.

Lewandowski believes he still has a lot to offer at the highest level despite his age. He reiterated his hunger to win trophies with Barcelona and continue performing at an elite standard, dismissing suggestions that he is nearing the end of his competitive career.
