Real Madrid reveals Kylian Mbappe's jersey number

Real Madrid has unveiled one of its signings of the 2024 summer transfer window, Kylian Mbappe, to its supporters ahead of the 2024/25 season.

The unveiling took place at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, with some fans inside the stadium and others outside. During the presentation, it was confirmed that Kylian Mbappe will wear the number 9 jersey.

The ceremony for Mbappe's unveiling was glamorous, in line with the club's standards for player signings. Additionally, 15 UEFA Champions League trophies were on display for Mbappe to take pictures with.

Real Madrid had announced the signing of Mbappe on its official website on Monday, June 3, 2024. According to reports from the club, he has joined on a five-year deal, keeping him at the Santiago Bernabeu until the 2029 summer transfer window.

He joined the Galacticos as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Paris Saint-German at the end of last season (2023/24).

As for the financial details of the deal, Kylian Mbappe is expected to earn €15m (£12.8m) per year after tax.
