Real Madrid release an official statement on the incident against Valencia

The game between Real Madrid and Valencia was filled with a lot of drama that gave the world of football something to talk about after the final whistle went off.

The match which was played at the Mestalla on Saturday, March 2, 2024, ended 2-2 but however, but Real Madrid believed that they were robbed of three points. According to the Galacticos, the ball was still in the air when the center referee blew to final whistle before the ball went to the back of the net from Jude Bellingham's header.

Real Madrid's statement went as follows;

"An unprecedented refereeing decision by Gil Manzano prevented Real Madrid from beating Valencia at Mestalla. Two goals from Vini Jr. tied the match, which was finally settled by Gil Manzano's decision."

Bellingham was issued a red card by the referee, Gil Manzano for indecent behaviour after the goal was cancelled.
