Real Madrid in an official statement has confirmed the departure of midfielder Casemiro to Manchester United.
In an official statement shared by Real Madrid today, Friday, August 19, 2022, the deal involving Casemiro to Manchester United has been confirmed.
The statement read:
Real Madrid CF and Manchester United have agreed on the transfer of the player Carlos Henrique Casemiro.
Real Madrid would like to express its gratitude and affection for Casemiro, a player who is already part of the legend of this club.

Since he arrived in January 2013 to play for Castilla, at the age of 20, Casemiro has been one of the most transcendental players in one of the most important and successful periods in our history. During this time in which he has defended the shirt and shield of Real Madrid, he has won 18 titles: 5 European Cups, 3 Club World Cups, 3 European Super Cups, 3 Leagues, 1 Copa del Rey and 3 Spanish Super Cups. . The statement also added that a farewell would be held for the Brazilian player on Monday, August 22, 2022.
The deal is estimated to be around 60 million pounds with an extra 10 million pounds in add ons. It is however uncertain if the player would be available for the Manchester United's game against Liverpool scheduled for Monday, August 22, 2022.
