The Nigerian team achieved this feat following this victory over the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon in the semi-final game at the ongoing Women Africa Cup of Nations. The game was a ticket to book an automatic ticket to th World Cup.
The Super Falcons beat Cameroon 1-0 courtesy of a beautiful header from Rasheedat Ajibade in the 53rd minute of the second half in Casablanca, Morocco. The result means Nigeria have qualified for the 12th consecutive semi-final game and their ninth consecutive World cup ticket in a row
Nigeria will play the host nation, Morocco in the semi-finals of the competition on Monday, July 18th, 2022.
