Rasheedat Ajibade Sends Super Falcons to Women FIFA’s World Cup

The Super Falcons of Nigeria have booked an automatic ticket to the Women’s FIFA World Cup that will be hosted in New Zealand next year (2023).

The Nigerian team achieved this feat following this victory over the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon in the semi-final game at the ongoing Women Africa Cup of Nations. The game was a ticket to book an automatic ticket to th World Cup.

The Super Falcons beat Cameroon 1-0 courtesy of a beautiful header from Rasheedat Ajibade in the 53rd minute of the second half in Casablanca, Morocco. The result means Nigeria have qualified for the 12th consecutive semi-final game and their ninth consecutive World cup ticket in a row

Nigeria will play the host nation, Morocco in the semi-finals of the competition on Monday, July 18th, 2022.
