Raphael Varane reportedly set to leave Manchester United

Manchester United defender, Raphael Varane could be on his way out of Old Trafford next year (2024) either during the winter or summer transfer window.

The French international has been called down the pecking order since September 2023 after he failed to break into the Red Devils' first team under Erik Ten Hag. The Sun confirmed that Raphael Varane the defender is open to leaving the club next summer and Erik Ten Hag will not stand in his way.

He has been out of the team for some weeks having lost his place to Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans. He has not started a league game since United lost to Crystal Palace in September 2023.

The Frenchman joined Manchester United from Real Madrid during the 2021 summer transfer window under Ole Gunnar Solksjaer. He was a key part of United's success last season ( 2022/23) alongside his partnership with Lisandro Martinez last season.
