Another Former Chelsea Player Hangs His Football Boots

Former player of Chelsea Football Club, Ramires has announced his retirement from football just hours after John Obi Mikel decided to hang his boots.

The Brazilian made the announcement on his official Instagram account on Wednesday, September 28th, 2022. Ramirez joined Chelsea during the summer transfer window of the 2010 season and went on to win the Premier League under Carlo Ancelotti.

He also won the UEFA Champions League with the Blues in 2012. However, he will be remembered for scoring the goal against Barcelona in the second leg of the semi-final.

The 35-year-old joined Jiangsu Suning during the 2016 transfer window before returning to his home country in Brazil to join Palmeiras in 2020.
