Raheem Sterling was on the wrong side of Chelsea supporters in the game against Leicester City during the quarter-finals of the English FA Cup.

The England international gave what has been described as his worst performance in a Chelsea shirt by the fans of the club. Raheem Sterling missed a penalty in the first half and also played a horrible freekick in the second half which could have given Chelsea the lead.

Sterling was booed by the fans at Stamford Bridge when he was substituted for Noni Madueke who eventually scored the fourth goal for the Blues.

The former Manchester City player sent an apology letter via his official Instagram account to the Chelsea fans after the game. He apologised for the missed penalty kick and promised to be a better player.

He said,

"Apologies for the penalty miss. I'll be back 10 times stronger to help the team win and continue to keep fighting for the badge every single day."

Sterling has at least two weeks to get back to his full fitness before the next Premier League game against Burnley at Stamford Bridge.
