The Captain of the Argentine national team, Lionel Messi has called on the body governing football the World, FIFA concerning officiating at the tournament.

The PSG forward player was speaking at a post-match conference after the game where he expressed his displeasure with the way things went in their Quater-final game against the Netherlands. Messi did not go into details about the referee's decision in the game but called on FIFA to do better when it comes to selecting officials for football matches.

I do not want to talk about the referee because you cannot be honest. If you do, FIFA will sanction you but FIFA must think about it, they cannot put a referee like that for these important games, they can't put a referee who isn't up to the task.
