Premier League manager of the month: September 2024 Nominees

The Premier League's manager of the month award for September 2024 is up for grabs, and six exceptional tacticians were announced for the final list.

These managers have demonstrated exceptional leadership, strategic brilliance, and adaptability, guiding their teams to outstanding performances throughout the month.

Here are the nominees for managers of the month for September 2024

(1) Mikel Arteta:

Arteta's Arsenal went unbeaten through September, having begun their month with a 1-0 win at Tottenham Hotspur as Arteta became the first Arsenal manager in the Premier League era to win three consecutive matches away from Tottenham.

He also led his team to a fascinating 2-2 draw with title rivals Manchester City despite playing all of the second half with 10 men. In their final fixture, the Gunners scored two stoppage-time goals to secure a 4-2 home success over Leicester City.

(2) Unai Emery:

The Aston Villa manager had an unbeaten run in September that included two amazing games. In their first match, they were 2-0 down at home to Everton before coming back to win 3-2, while a week later they trailed at home again, to Wolverhampton Wanderers, before scoring in the 73rd minute, 88th minute, and fourth minute of stoppage time to win 3-1. A draw at Ipswich Town meant they ended the month fifth in the table and only two points off top spot.

(3) Enzo Maresca:

Maresca was nominated for the first time after an impressive month with Chelsea. He started September with a 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace, the Blues kept successive clean sheets on the road as they beat AFC Bournemouth 1-0 and West Ham United 3-0. He led his team to their first league win at Stamford Bridge with a stunning 4-2 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion.

(4) Marco Silva:

Fulham were also unbeaten in September, having secured a 1-1 draw with West Ham, they went on to beat Newcastle United 3-1 before securing a 1-0 victory at Nottingham Forest to end the month flying high in sixth place.

(5) Arne Slot:

This is the second successive month that he will be making the list after an impressive 3-0 victory at Old Trafford. However, they were beaten 1-0 by Nottingham Forest before his team bounced back with a 3-0 win over AFC Bournemouth and a 2-1 victory at Wolves.
