In a fan-voted award, the Premier League after collation of the votes has officially announced the winner of the Goal of the Month category.
The in-form midfielder, Mateo Kovacic after returning from injury and suffering a setback as a result of COVID 19 has secured the goal of the month award in the Premier League for the 2021/2022 season.
The Croatian and Chelsea midfielder scored a stunning goal in the second leg of the team's premier league fixture against Liverpool in January 2022. Mateo Kovacic's goal in that fixture had reduced the 2-0 deficit Chelsea had suffered in the game at the hands of Liverpool before Christian Pulisic scored the equalizer in the first half to draw the champions of Europe level with Liverpool in that fixture.

Kovacic is known to rarely score goals in matches for Chelsea, which is why this feat is worth celebrating for the Croatian.
