Frank Lampard has confirmed the players that would be available ahead of the all-important premier league fixture; Arsenal vs Chelsea.

Interim boss Frank Lampard in a press conference held today, Monday, May 1, 2023, confirmed all players that will be available and out of the all-important premier league fixture, Arsenal vs Chelsea.

He confirmed that Kai Havertz, Aubameyang and David Fofana would all be available to lead the attack for Chelsea. Kai Havertz had missed out on the premier league fixture against Brentford, where the Blues had lost 2-0 at Stamford Bridge.

He revealed:

'Kai Havertz is in contention for the game, he’s trained this week, We’ll see who starts. I’ve got Auba, I’ve got Kai, I’ve got David Fofana. I’m not going to divulge the team but they're all fit and ready.

Possibly Auba’s past with Arsenal might come into my thinking, because we all think a player going back to their old club gives a certain motivation. I haven’t delved into that too much with Auba himself, so I’ll pick that position on my feeling of how we’ve trained and what the team structure looks like.'

Lampard also announced that Chelsea will be without Marc Cucurella and also Koulibaly, who are both still out injured. He added:

'Kouli is out for a while still, I think it will be a tight call for the season to be fair. He’s working away. I’ve been impressed with him actually. He’s a professional, he’s doing his job very well, but unfortunately the injury was a bit of a tough one.

Cucurella will probably be another two weeks or so. It was a two or three week injury when he first did it a week or so ago. Mason and Reece are the same, there's no update on them.'

Chelsea who currently hold the 12th position on the table would be looking to pick up all three points to remain safe of relegation and Arsenal would be looking to maintain the lead on the premier league table.
