Premier League Announces Kickoff Date for the 2023/24 Football Season

The body organising the English Premier League have announced the date for the start of the next football season.

The date was announced on the official website of the Premier League on Tuesday, November 8th, 2022. According to the reports from the statement released the first round of the game will start on Saturday, August 12th, 2023 while the last round of games will be played on Sunday, May 19th, 2024.

It was also confirmed that a review of the games congestion has been looked into by the Premier League. This means that no two rounds in this period will take place within 48 hours of each other.

The schedule also provides for a return of the mid-season player break, which will take place between 13-20 January 2024.
