Premier League Announce Nominees for Player of the Month Award

The Premier League have announced the nominees for the player of the month award for December 2021.

Manchester City's Joao Cancelo was listed among the players for the award, having scored 1 goal and 1 assist with 3 clean sheets. He was also part of the City team that won six consecutive Premier League games. Arsenal's duo of Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard were also listed as players eligible to win the award.

Mason Mount was in fine form for Chelsea scoring a goal and an assist in two consecutive games against West Ham United and Watford. He also scored against Leeds and Everton and got an assist in the game against Brighton and Hove Albion.

Other players on the list are Leicester City's James Maddison, Tottenham's Son Heung-min, and Manchester City's Raheem Sterling.
