Portugal's Coach Roberto Martinez Speaks on Cristiano Ronaldo's Future in the team

The Portuguese Football Federation has named the former coach of Belgium, Roberto Martinez as its new coach until 2026.

The announcement was made on the official Twitter account of the federation on Monday, January 9th, 2023. Martinez resigned as coach of the Red Devils after six years in charge following their group-stage exit in Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The President of Portugal football, Fernando Gomes said: "This is an important moment for the national team."

Martinez will bring a lot of expertise he had while coaching club football. spent four years as Wigan boss before three years at Everton, was appointed Belgium manager in 2016, and led them to the top of the Fifa rankings in 2018.

He spoke about the future of Cristiano Ronaldo in the team.
