Pochettino leaves Chelsea fans angry with his comments after the Everton game

Chelsea supporters have been in a disappointing mood after suffering back-to-back defeats in the Premier League.

The manager of the club, Mauricio Pochettino left the fans furious after he compared the team's performance to that of a mid-table team. The Argentine international was speaking at the post-match press conference after the game at Goodison Park on Sunday, December 10, 2023.

He said,

"Our reality now is mid-table and if we want to go up we have to push ourselves. When the transfer window opens we will see what we can do. I am not saying I am going to ask for more players or less players but it is to see if perception matches reality."

Chelsea slipped to 12th place on the table having just 19 points in the first 16 games of the league. The Blues have won just five games, drawn four and lost seven matches.
