Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino in his pre-match press conference has shared his thoughts on the possibility of Nicolas Jackson playing the Premier League fixture scheduled for Wednesday, January 31, 2024.

In the pre-match press conference which was held today, Tuesday, January 30, 2024, Pochettino confirmed that Chelsea might receive a huge boost in the attack department as Senegal forward Nicolas Jackson might be included in the squad that will take on Liverpool on Wednesday.

Pochettino stated, "Then, maybe or not, Nico can arrive for tomorrow and also be involved in the game. But that is if he can arrive in time from the tournament."

Speaking on the chances of Chelsea winning, the manager also added, "It’s an amazing game to play, it’s a great opportunity for us to face a team that is doing really well. We are excited for tomorrow. For us we want to win, I want to win the game. We go into the game just thinking about winning it.'It’s a special game for him. Until the end it’s going to be special. Every time they play at Anfield it is going to be a party to celebrate and give him all the love the fans feel for him and I think he deserves it. But we are thinking to go there and win the game. Sorry, but we don’t want to be involved as part of the celebration. We want to be party poopers, but that is on us to perform well and win the game."
