Following high expectations about a possible return for Christopher Nkunku before the end of the year 2023, Chelsea's head coach Mauricio Pochettino in his latest press conference has shared an update many did not find pleasing.

Mauricio Pochettino in his post-match press conference ahead of the midweek kick of Chelsea revealed that Christopher Nkunku would not be available for the Blues ahead of the fixture against Man United scheduled for kick-off on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, in the Premier League.

Pochettino revealed that although everyone is eagerly anticipating Nkunku's return, he would not be available for the fixture tomorrow.

He said, "It's like I always tell you, sometimes we have been excited seeing him on the pitch and have him as soon as possible but we need to be careful. When he is ready, he will be ready."

He went on to speak about the preparations of the club ahead of the fixture and also praised Man United's head coach Erik Ten Hag for his efforts so far. He said, "Fantastic coach, I remember when I was at Tottenham we had semi-finals of the Champions League against Ajax. I think it is good to see him after four years because after the semi-final we have not had the pleasure again."
