The first player departure for Chelsea ahead of the June 2024 transfer window has been confirmed following the series of Premier League fixtures today.

Following Newcastle United's emphatic victory over Tottenham Hotspur which saw them move up the Premier League standings, the first player departure for Chelsea ahead of the June 2024 summer transfer window has been confirmed following Lewis Hall's late cameo in the fixture.

Newcastle's statement victory now signifies that the club won't finish below 14th on the Premier League table and this automatically triggers a clause in Lewis Hall's loan contract from Chelsea to the club.

The clause states that Newcastle will complete a transfer deal worth 28 million pounds for Lewis Hall if the Magpies don't finish below 14th in the premier league standings. Last summer, the 19-year-old was loaned from Chelsea to the Magpies with a condition to buy if they finished higher than 15th.

Speaking after the victory over Tottenham Hall stated, "I am here now as a Newcastle player and I really enjoy it. The future looks really good for the club with so many young and talented players. It is going in the right direction."
