PGMOL set to release the VAR conversation in the game between Spurs and Liverpool

The game between Tottenham and Liverpool may have ended on the pitch but the match is still much active off-the-field.

Liverpool earlier this week wrote to the PGMOL that it wanted the audio conversation between the VAR officials and the centre referee of the match day when Luis Diaz's goal was ruled out as offside. The PGMOL are set to share the dialogue that took place when the was incorrectly disallowed for the sake of transparency.

"it is clear that the correct application of the laws of the game did not occur, resulting in sporting integrity being undermined. It is therefore unsatisfactory that sufficient time was not afforded to allow the correct decision to be made and that there was no subsequent intervention. In the meantime, we will explore the range of options available, given the clear need for escalation and resolution."

Recall that PGMOL sent an apology note immediately after Tottenham's 2-1 win over Liverpool stating that the incident was a human error.

"This was a clear and obvious factual error and should have resulted in the goal being awarded through VAR intervention."

Both VAR officials of the game, Darren England and Dan Cook have been taken off officiating duties ahead of this weekend's round of Premier League fixtures.
