The manager of Manchester City, Pep Guardiola, has tested positive for Coronavirus, his assistant, Juanma Lillo, also tested positive for the virus.

Manchester City confirmed the news on its website on Thursday, January 6th, 2022. According to the reports from the club's statement, Guardiola will miss the club's FA Cup game against Swindon Town on Friday, January 7th, 2022. Assistant coach, Rodolfo Borrell will take charge of the team in the game.

This takes the number of people isolating at the Manchester Club to 21, of which 14 are staff members and seven are first-team players.
