Pep Guardiola reacts to UCL draw against Real Madrid

One of the most mouth-watering fixtures to look out for in the quarter-final of the 2023/24 UEFA Champions League is the clash between Real Madrid and Manchester City.

This draw means both teams will be meeting in the knock-out stage of the tournament for the third consecutive season. Real Madrid came out victorious in the 2021/22 season while Manchester City won the tie over both legs last season (2022/23).

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola reacted to the draw while he was speaking in a pre-match press conference ahead of the FA Cup quarter-final game against Newcastle. According to him, it is beginning to look more like a tradition with the way his team has been drawn against Real Madrid in recent seasons.

He said,

"It looks like little bit of a tradition, three years in a row playing the kings of the competition. Hopefully we arrive in a good moment. Second leg at home, it is what it is."
