Following the emphatic victory of Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League group stages fixture, Pep Guardiola at a match conference addressed the rumours and speculations that indicated that Erling Haaland has a clause in his contract that would allow him to join the Spanish giants Real Madrid after two years.

Erling Haaland who joined the Cityzens has been having a formidable run in the premier league and also the champions league in the 2022/2023 club football season as the Norwegian is the highest goal scorer in both competitions.

Pep denied the rumours indicating that Erling Haaland is currently having the time of his life at the English club and there is no clause like that in his existing contract with the side.

He said:

There’s no specific clause for Erling Haaland to join Real Madrid, it’s not true. I have the feeling he is incredibly happy at Man City.

Haaland who had scored two goals in the 5-0 riot over Copenhagen had been subbed off in the second half of the game which was played on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. The young striker would be looking to continue his formidable run in the premier league against Southampton.
