The manager of Manchester City, Pep Guardiola has expressed his displeasure concerning the club's fixture congestion.

Pep Guardiola was speaking at a press conference ahead of City's first league game of the season against West Ham United. According to him, every season is the same for him but the only is that they will play the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA World Club Cup.

"Every season is the same, except we play in the Super Cup against Sevilla and the Club World Cup in Saudi Arabia. The rest is the same. We will see at the end of the window. Sometimes meetings with UEFA and Premier League. We were there. It's okay to play, but we don't have enough days. When people say we play the same conditions as other teams in the Premier League, we don't. We play more than others, much more. We'll play Newcastle on the Saturday after facing Sevilla on Wednesday. We can't give a day off to players. UEFA decide, FIFA decide, the Premier League decide and clubs in Europe decide. I don't think anything is going to change. When they invite us [managers] to these meetings, we are busy with a game to prepare for. I don't have time. It is a lot."

Manchester City supporters will their team can replicate the same feat they achieved last season by going all the way in every competition they participate in this season (2023/24).
